Please post instructions for downloading maps such as OpenBike maps. I agree with Marcel Früh that 50km needed, especially for travelling on a bike path (radweg) away from roads.

The licence of OpenCycleMaps unfortunately does not allow for offline (bulk-)downloads. 
However, the views of the map that you have visited will be cached and can be viewed offline.
