External USB or Bluetooth GPS

My external GPS units create a serial port connection in my Surface Pro (which does not have a built-in GPS), but I cannot get OutdoorMaps to recognize and use it. It can only use MS Location Services which is not useful or accurate. Is there a way to do this, or can you add an option to identify the serial port of the GPS?

Thanks for the feedback. OutdoorMaps only supports the GPS provided by the location services. Maybe you will find a driver or different utility that integrates into the windows location services?
